Mimic: Voice, Accent and Emotion Synthesis
The objective of this project is to model and synthesis the acoustic correlates of speech that convey voice characteristics, accent and emotional delivery. The potential applications for this work include:
- Choice of voice output, accents and emotional delivery for synthesised voice.
- Personalised and emotionally expressive text to speech synthesis for disabled people.
- Applications in internet, animated wizards in e-commerce, in-car voice dialogue systems.
- Voice conversion for broadcasting and entertainment.
- Voice-over for advertisements, and voice disguise without distortion.
- Voice modifying microphones for karaoke.
- Educational systems, computer games, and toys.
- Ultra low bit rate speech coding.
