Example student work

Digital media students are passionate about their work, given the nature of our programmes the web is a natural showcase for the fruits of their labours. Here are a few samples of their efforts from recent years, organised into a number of categories.

3D GRAPHICS

A selection of our best animated and still 3D graphic material, submitted either as final year undergraduate projects, or as part of our 3D Graphics and Animation module.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND VISUAL EFFECTS

A large category coverting digital photography (largely from our first year students), work that is primarily live action video in nature and visual effects work, particularly compositing.

MOTION GRAPHICS

A number of our most interesting motion graphics pieces, from both Broadcast and Multimedia students, the majority submitted as part of their final year projects. These animations are largely 2D graphics in nature, although some will have 3D elements.

WEB

Multimedia students in particular create work in this category and over the years we have seen a number of interesting projects of this type. Whilst all address some particular need, some concentrate on front-end design, others on sophisticated back-end coding.

INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA

A broad category of projects, coming again from primarily Mulitmedia students. These examples all interactive in nature, but are not primarily using the web as their method of presentation. Examples include live performance VJ tools, to mobile media logging and display.
