Objectives:

  1. carrying out fundamental and applied research in sustainable design and manufacture, enterprise performance supply chains and systems
  2. establishing close links with industry and engage in applied research and technology transfer activities
  3. within two years establishing a consortium comprising of industrial members to facilitate industry driven research and technology transfer and knowledge dissemination
  4. to develop, promote and deliver an MSc in micro/ nano engineering informed by the research of international standing the institute conducts
  5. developing relevant technologies that can be commercialised through RSDO (BEC)
