LIFEPASS seeks the development of innovative and ground breaking technologies realised into tools, systems, equipment and leading edge processes to ultimately enable sustainable enterprises and in doing so it focuses on four Research Highlights.
As the Institute’s research programme deals with a wide field in enterprise performance, sustainability and systems, LIFEPASS provides researchers with an appropriate Infrastructure and Support Resources, constantly striving to broaden and to improve the above resources.
The members of the Institute have published about 150 papers in journals, conferences and books since 2001 (Publications).
In the future, LIFEPASS will continue its creative and interactive research by:
- Aiming to address EPSRC priorities
- Aiming to address new projects by developing novel methodologies and software for directed nano-assembly with atomic scale precision
- Developing a system that evolves chemical processes
- Designing bench top ultra precision machines
- Designing and manufacturing 3D integrated, miniaturised products
