INDUSTRIAL CONSORTIUM:
A major activity of the Institute is the operation of an industrial research consortium aiming at technology transfer to industry. It aims at companies both SMEs and international organisations which are based in the UK and aboard. LIFEPASS offers a tiered Membership Programme according to the level of cooperation and involvement in its research.
The members of the Institute have substantial experience in managing such consortia. There are currently over 30 industrial companies (Links) that are collaborating with the Institute members.
LIFEPASS offers access to knowledge, technology and its research electronically and through meetings:
Face to face meetings:
Company can visit the Institute to take stock, identify weaknesses and plan for the future taking into account the changing requirements of a company. Alternatively, LIFEPASS staff can visit member’s offices or production sites to discuss technology needs.
Membership also opens the opportunity for Partnerships with Centres of Excellence as it gives access to other world class centres, research disciplines and facilities which the Brunel University provides.
